| In this evening Ladies’ Bible study, we take an indepth look, first, at the name Jehovah. We learn that Jehovah and LORD are interchangeable and mean the self-existant, self-revealing God. We examine portions of Exodus 33 where we see God revealing Himself to those who seek Him. Further in the study we look at the word Tsidkenu and study how that The LORD Our Rigteousness made the way of salvation for us. The small pronoun, “Our” communicates to us that we are only righteous by the righteousness that God provides for us through Jesus Christ. By receiving this righteousness for ourselves personally, we enter into a restored relationship with God.

Bible Text: Genesis 1 | In this study on the names of God, we look at the name Elohim, the all-Powerful One, Creator. We see that God created the world into existence by the power of His Word, and we note that the trinity, Father, Son & Holy Spirit, was involved in creation. Throughout Genesis chapter 1 God stated that His creation was “good” and after the 6th day of creation, upon completion, God states that it was “very good”. We recognize that God created human beings in His image with design and purpose, and Genesis reveals that God created two distinct genders, male and female. In learning this name, Elohim, we realize that God is a personal God Who desires a relationship with people and Who provides the way for us to have that relationship restored through His Son, Jesus Christ.
