In this study on the names of God, we look at the name Elohim, the all-Powerful One, Creator. We see that God created the world into existence by the power of His Word, and we note that the trinity, Father, Son & Holy Spirit, was involved in creation. Throughout Genesis chapter 1 God stated that His creation was "good" and after the 6th day of creation, upon completion, God states that it was "very good". We recognize that God created human beings in His image with design and purpose, and Genesis reveals that God created two distinct genders, male and female. In learning this name, Elohim, we realize that God is a personal God Who desires a relationship with people and Who provides the way for us to have that relationship restored through His Son, Jesus Christ.
