As we come to worship the Lord together as a body of believers, we welcome those who enter the doors of our assembly. Each person is welcome to join us wherever they may be on their journey of life. With that acceptance comes our heart's desire that each person at TBC will find acceptance and forgiveness in the sight of our Lord Jesus Christ. Christ's call goes out to each one to join in seeking Him and having a personal relationship with Him.
The Bible, God's Word, has the answers to life's pain and problems. It is a book of life and wisdom, hope and joy to those open their heart to its life-giving words. That is why we faithfully teach and preach the Scriptures each week for practical answers to life's questions. We have Sunday school classes for all ages and our teachers have a deep burden that each student learns the Word of God.
Prayer is often neglected in Christian assemblies today. Prayer is essential to the believers life and the health and well being of any local church. Prayer is a privilege, and at Temple Bible Church we take time to pray for one another both during our Sunday evening service as well as our mid-week service. Individuals' prayer requests can be shared with the church family and are fervently prayed for. Both the men's Bible study and the ladies' Bible study make time to take requests and bring them before the Lord.
Our music is Christ honoring, worshipful and uplifting. Music is an essential part of worship. Worship is giving worth back to God. What is God worthy of? He is worthy of our praise, adoration and thanksgiving. At Temple Bible Church we strive to have a Christ centered worship service rather than a man centered entertainment hour. Worship is all about our great God and giving glory to Him. That is why we make it a priority to have hymns and songs that are doctrinally sound and uplifting to the heart.
Christ's last command, the great commission, is a passion at TBC. Each Sunday morning worship service includes a missions focus or evangelism thrust. A portion of the service is taken to update God's people one of the specific missionaries that TBC supports. This keeps the people aware of what God is doing, through the giving of His people, around the world.
We take praying for our missionaries seriously. One page of our prayer sheet contains our missionary families and specific requests that they have. This is updated weekly.
Whenever our missionaries are stateside and available we host a particulare Sunday where they can share their ministry with us during Sunday school & morning worship. Afterwards we have a fellowship meal followed with a Q & A time. This allows the church family to get to know the missionaries on a deeper level.
Junior church makes missions a focus every 5th Sunday throughout the year. Those Sundays emphasize missions, often focusing on a true missionary story. We also review our missionaries and where they serve.
In addition to our regular missions' support, special offerings are taken throughout the year for missionaries and mission projects.
